Ushers and Oblation Bearers
Ushers and Oblation Bearers
Ushers assist the clergy and congregation at Masses, and other occasional events. Ushers are usually at the back of the church to greet parishioners and visitors and hand out service bulletins and This Week (the weekly parish information brochure) 30 minutes before the service. Depending upon the number of ushers in the Ushers Guild they serve an average of once a month. The ushers ask members of the congregation to serve as Oblation Bearers during the Mass.
Oblation Bearers are members from the congregation (usually two) who bring up the bread and wine for the Eucharist at the time in the service known as the Offertory.
If you would like to volunteer to be an Usher at Mass, please contact the church office.
