Through the Society of Mary, Queen of the Angels Ward, we serve the homeless through a partnership with Christ in the City. The Society of Mary collects money through the “Little Glass Jars” on the first Sunday of each month.
The third Sunday of each month is designated Food Collection Sunday. The cost of a selected food item is donated to the church, which then distributes the collected funds throughout the year to Denver Rescue Mission. In addition, a special collection is taken during Thanksgiving to make sure that Denver Rescue Mission receives funding to provide Christmas dinner to those in need.
On Remembrance Sunday, the Sunday nearest to Veterans’s Day (also called Armistice and Remembrance Day) November 11th St. Michael’s raises funds for The Wounded Warrior Project to assist veterans and their families.
