The Reverend R. Trent Fraser, Rector
Biography
Father Fraser was born in North Bay, Ontario, Canada. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Nipissing University College, Laurentian University. He graduated from the University of Trinity College, University of Toronto, with a Master of Divinity degree in 1990. Father was ordained to the Sacred Priesthood in 1993. He served his Title at Saint Clement’s Church, Philadelphia, from 1993 through 2001, receiving a thorough training in traditional Anglo-Catholicism. He then served as Priest-in-Charge of Church of the Redeemer, Southfield, Michigan from 2001 through 2009. Father Fraser was Rector of The Zabriskie Memorial Church of Saint John the Evangelist, Newport, Rhode Island from 2009 through the end of 2011. From September 2012 through July 2013, he served at Saint Barnabas’ Anglican Church, St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada. Father Fraser accepted the call to become Rector of Saint Michael and All Angels’ Church and began his ministry here on August 1st, 2013.
Father Fraser is a member of several devotional guilds including the American Branch of the Society of Mary and the Confraternity of the Blessed Sacrament. He serves on the Council of the American Branch of the Guild of All Souls; and he is a Priest Associate of the Holy House of the Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham, Norfolk, UK. Father Fraser is keenly interested in all aspects of music. His other interests include history, reading and art.
Father Fraser hopes to build upon the legacy of his predecessors by sharing the Catholic Faith in its Anglican expression with parishioners and newcomers to St. Michael’s.
Parish Deacon
The Reverend Deacon Gary D. Stoddard
Father Deacon Stoddard, son of the parish, was ordained to the Permanent Diaconate in Saint John’s Cathedral, Denver, by The Right Reverend Robert J. O’Neill on June 18th, 2016. He is with us for roughly half of the year, serving another parish in Denver the other half. Father Deacon is a gifted spiritual director, and we are fortunate to have Father Deacon Stoddard’s ministry particularly through his service at the Altar.

Mr. Norwood – Choirmaster
Matthew received a Master of Music from the University of Nebraska, and Bachelor of Music from Hastings College. Matthew performed in professional choirs in New York and Washington, DC for many years before moving to Denver. He began assisting at St. Michaels’ in 2007, and became Director of Music in 2013. In addition to his work as a singer and conductor, Matthew also holds a diploma from the Institute of Audio Research and works as a freelance sound designer in film and video.
Mr. Fritz Anders –Organist
Mr. Anders joined the staff as Organist of St. Michael and All Angels’ Church on the Feast of the Holy Name, 2018. He is a graduate of Juilliard, New York City. Mr Anders’ particular interest is in the works of Charles Arnould Tournemire (1870 – 1939). His improvisations on both Sunday and Feast Days are always liturgically informed, and they complement the liturgy splendidly.
Ms. Nancy King – Sunday School Coordinator and Children’s Chapel Director
In addition to coordinating the Children’s and Young People’s curriculum for Christian Education, which Nancy has led with distinction, she is also the Director of the Children’s Chapel and Junior Choir. In her role as Sunday School Coordinator, Nancy has exercised her considerable creative talents in writing pageant scripts for All Saints, and
Christmas. Nancy has had extensive training in vocal music as a singer both privately and in choruses. She has sung in numerous semi-professional choruses and church choirs throughout the years and has led music at various children’s summer camps as well. She enjoys teaching children the joy of singing and began the junior choir at St. Michael and All Angels’ in the 1980’s and started the Children’s Chapel music program shortly after.
