About Us
St. Michael’s purpose is expressed in the historic creeds of the Church. The Apostles Creed is said daily at Morning and Evening Prayer while the Nicene Creed is said at Mass on Sundays and Holy Days. The Athanasian Creed is primarily for the purpose of education.
A Word from the Rector
On this website, there are pages, we hope will give you a snapshot of our Parish, and all that we do to witness to the saving power of Christ in our lives.
Canon Harry Watts, Father Founder of the church, had a clear vision for St Michael and All Angels’ Church which he founded 100 years ago, on the Feast of St. Michael and All Angels, September 29th, 1925. This church has always been faithful to the practice and teaching found in the Catholic Revival of the Church of England. The seven Sacraments, the historic Creeds, traditional liturgy and music are what makes St. Michael’s unique in the Denver metro area. A typical day at St. Michael’s consists of Matins and the holy Sacrifice of the Mass six days in the week. On major Holy Days, throughout the year High Mass is celebrated, usually followed by a parish dinner.
There are a number of devotional groups which meet monthly, such as the Society of Mary and the Confraternity of the Blessed Sacrament. Stations of the Cross during Lent and seasonal Quiet Days serve to both deepen our commitment to following Our Lord being a disciple in the world.
Should you be looking for a church which has a rich liturgical life, sound biblical preaching and a welcoming and inclusive congregation, then I invite you to consider making St Michael and All Angels’ Church your spiritual home.
Faithfully yours,
Father R. Trent Fraser, Rector
