THE ASSUMPTION OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY, TUESDAY, AUGUST 15TH, will be celebrated with two masses: Low Mass at 9:30 a.m. and High Mass at 6:30 p. m. The members of Queen of the Angels Ward of The Society of Mary will be preparing a supper following the late Mass for all who wish to attend. Make your reservation by calling the office, or on Sundays at Coffee Klatch in the Parish Hall. ST. CLARE’S GUILD Members, past and present, along with their families, are invited to attend a luncheon on Saturday, August, 12th at noon in the parish hall. MUSIC CAMP Music camp day for ages 8 and up will be Saturday, August 26th, from10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Please note: this is a change of date from the announcement in the Archangel. (Please register by August 10th.) Cost is $10.00 /child or $15.00/family for either session. Each child needs to bring a sack lunch; and the 4 to 7-year- olds also need to bring a blanket. LITTLE GLASS JARS are in both arches of the Narthex. The money donated will be used by the members of the Society of Mary to purchase food for the needy. Your generosity is greatly appreciated.

THE PARISH SECRETARY will be out of the office on Monday and Tuesday for a short vacation. She will back for her regular office hours on Thursday and Friday.

MINI CHURCH CAMP 2017, a big “Thank you” to all who helped with camp this year! Thanks for making burritos and cookies, knitting pocket prayer shawls for the campers, donating crosses to wear, gathering liturgical items needed for worship, providing music around the campfire, and helping to plan and facilitate an attempted climb up Buffalo Peak! Additional thanks for all those who prayed for a safe and holy Church Camp! Special appreciation is extended to Fr. Johnson who was the Camp Priest again this year. All added up to a very special and wonderful time!

LISTENING POST VOLUNTEERS, and those interested in learning more about LP, are invited to join a kick-off celebration and planning session for the upcoming DU academic school year. Plan to meet in Parish Hall for an informal meeting (food provided) on Thursday, August 10th, at 6:30 p.m. Please let Deacon Stoddard know if you are planning to attend. New volunteers are always welcome!
