Announcements for June 18, 2017

RED LETTER HOLY DAYS this week are the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus on Friday and the Nativity of St. John the Baptist on Saturday. Morning Mass will be observed both days: on Friday at 9:30 a.m. and on Saturday at 9:00 a.m.

FOOD COLLECTION SUNDAY is today. The food item is peanut butter, @$3.50/jar. Thank you for your generosity for those in need.

THE NEW WHITE HIGH MASS VESTMENTS which made their debut last Sunday are a gift given in loving memory of Judith Lee Hannah (1940-2015), who bequeathed her estate to St Michael and All Angels’ Church. Although prevented from attending Mass for the last fifteen years of her life, she continued to receive the Sacraments through the ministries of Father Walker, Father Shoberg and myself. The chasuble, dalmatic, tunicle, stoles, burse and veil were made by Watts & Co., Westminster, UK. The cope and maniples were supplied by the vendor, Luzar Vestments of Oxford. The set is constructed of white Bellini silk with green Bellini orphreys (banding). These vestments which will adorn our parish for decades, are a small token of our appreciation of the generosity of Judy’s bequest. As a benefactress of the Parish, please remember her soul in your prayers.

ST. CLARE’S GUILD meets this Saturday, following 9:00 Mass.
