Announcements for January 8, 2016

VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED TO UNDECORATE: As we admire and enjoy the beauty of the Church during this glorious season, this adornment must come to an end with the Celebration of The Baptism of Our Lord today. This is the scheduled day to remove the greens, after the 10:00 a.m. mass and lunch.

THE ST. MICHAEL’S MEN’S GROUP will meet this Tuesday at Pete’s University Park Cafe (2345 E. Evans Avenue, Denver, CO 80210) at 6:30 a.m. Please contact Colton Mailes with any questions, at 417.455.3112 or colton.mailes@gmail.com.

THE SOCIETY OF MARY has been busy and will continue to be so in the coming months. The next meeting of The Society of Mary will be on Saturday, immediately following Mass at 9:00 a.m. and Rosary at 9:30 a.m.

FOOD COLLECTION SUNDAY is next Sunday. The item is granola bars, at $3.50/box.

THE ANNUAL MEETING OF THE PARISH and Corporation of Saint Michael and All Angels’ Church is set for Sunday, January 29th. The deadline for submitting your reports for the annual report is Friday, January 20th. Brunch will be served. Please sign up in the Narthex.

FLOWER AND CANDLE DONATIONS: If you have not yet paid for your 2016 flowers and/or candles, please do this as soon as possible.

LADIES, please blot your lipstick before receiving communion. It is very hard to remove the stains from our linens, so your assistance with this is greatly appreciated.

INTINCTION is administered on the pulpit side of the Altar Rail, where the chalice is always administered by the ordained clergy. Please be sure to receive on this side if you receive by intinction. Intinction will be administered using the entire altar rail for the time being, at 8:00 a.m. only. This is due to there being only one priest to administer the sacrament at 8:00 a.m. 10:00 a.m. will remain as before.
