BOOKS ‘N BRUNCH is today after the 10:00 a.m. Mass, in the Guild Room.

FOOD COLLECTION SUNDAY is next Sunday. This month’s food item is Rice, at $2.00 per package.

ADULT CHRISTIAN EDUCATION begins today: let us welcome Fr. Gary Brower from the University of Denver. Fr. Brower has been invited to share his thoughts about campus ministry and his work as a university chaplain. Please plan on attending what promises to be an informative and engaging class! Fr. Brower will also be preaching at both of today’s Masses.

CHURCH SCHOOL starts today. Children’s Chapel will also resume during the 10:00 a.m. service, in the Lady Chapel. The annual Kick-Off Picnic will be today, following the 10:00 a.m. Mass. Everyone is welcome to join us in celebrating the beginning of the new school year!

ST. TERESA OF AVILA WARD of the Confraternity of the Blessed Sacrament will meet this Thursday for a soup supper and meeting at 6:30 p.m. After our dinner meeting, we will celebrate Vespers and Benediction. The parish is invited.

THEATRE NEWS: Margaret Norwood will be part of the cast in an upcoming musical production of Willy Wonka at the Vintage Theatre, at 1468 Dayton Street, in Aurora. For those who are interested in seeing Margaret perform, please contact Rachelle Stoddard (303-761-7179) or sign up in the Narthex. We may be able to get a group rate of $20, if enough people sign up for Friday, September 23rd. (Tickets are typically $31.) Come enjoy a wonderful performance! SIGN-UP SHEETS for those wishing to help with the dinner for the SSC, on September 21st are in the Narthex. Please sign up today; the 21st will be upon us before we know it!

URBAN PEAK: Thank you to those who signed up to volunteer at Urban Peak. Please pencil in Tuesday, September 27th, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The work will involve preparing and serving a meal to about fifty homeless youth. Urban Peak sounded pleased that SMAAC, a current monetary benefactor, is now willing to volunteer, as well. They indicated that teams of six work well in the kitchen, which is the number of volunteers who signed up! Plan on meeting at 11:15 a.m. at 1630 S. Acoma St., Denver, CO 80223. Questions? OUR PATRONAL CELEBRATION is coming up on September 29th. We will have Mass at 9:30 a.m., followed by Bible Study. There will also be Solemn Mass with Incense at 6:30 p.m., followed by our Patronal Dinner. Reservations are required for this lovely catered roast beef dinner. The cost is: Adults, $15; Children 6 and under, $6. Please make your reservation right away!

RUMMAGE WEEK is coming: Sunday, October 16th thru clean-up on Saturday, October 22nd. The garage is filling up, but there is still room for more. Mark your calendar and plan to come help!

INTINCTION is administered on the pulpit side of the Altar Rail, where the chalice is always administered by the ordained clergy. Please be sure to receive on this side if you receive by intinction.
