THE FEAST OF THE BEHEADING OF SAINT JOHN THE BAPTIST is tomorrow. Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m.

SAINT CLARE’S GUILD meets this Saturday, after the 9:00 a.m. Mass.

THE VESTRY will meet Thursday, September 8th, following the 6:30 p.m Mass.

THE CHURCH SCHOOL TEACHERS’ commissioning will be at the 10:00 a.m. Mass today.

THE SOCIETY OF MARY’s fall schedule begins Saturday, September 10th, with 9:00 a.m. Mass, Rosary at 9:30, and meeting at 10:00 a.m.

CHURCH SCHOOL will begin September 11th; the annual Kick-Off Picnic will take place on the church lawn, following the 10:00 a.m. Mass. Everyone is welcome: join us in celebrating the beginning of the new school year! Children who will be three years old by the start of the school year through students entering the eighth grade are invited to attend church school, in the rooms above the parish hall, from 9:15 to 10:00 a.m. Children’s Chapel will also resume during the 10:00 a.m. service, in the Mary Chapel. Please pick up a registration form in the Narthex and fill one out, if you would like your child to attend Church School this year. We want to make sure we have the latest information; so, even if you’ve filled out a form before, please do so again. Thank you!!

CAMPUS MINISTRY: Fr. Gary Brower from the University of Denver will be the presenter at Adult Education, and our guest preacher, on Sunday, September 11th. Fr. Brower has been invited to share his thoughts about campus ministry and his work as a university chaplain. Please plan on attending what promises to be an informative and engaging class!

OUTREACH OPPORTUNITY: Urban Peak, a shelter for homeless youth, is seeking a group of volunteers to help prepare and serve pancakes one day during the week. If interested, please add your name to the list in the narthex. If there are enough people from the parish who are willing to contribute a couple of hours each week, people who signed up will be contacted with further information.

CROSS-COUNTRY BIKE RIDE: Joan Egan’s great-niece has joined a fundraising coast-to-coast bicycle ride for cancer patients and research. She writes, “I’ll be riding in honor of my strong, fighting Aunt Joan!” Your contribution can be made on-line at http://do.eifoundation.org/goto/ChristineQuirk.

INTINCTION is administered on the pulpit side of the Altar Rail, where the chalice is always administered by the ordained clergy. Please be sure to receive on this side if you receive by intinction.
