Announcements for July 3, 2016

AT 8:00 A.M. TWO SETS OF SUNDAY LOW MASS SETS will be blessed. These are a gift of the Rector to the Parish. The vestments are from Watts & Co., London. They are reproductions of 19th Century brocade with a rewoven orphrey designed by A.W. Pugin (1812-1852), who was instrumental in promoting the Victorian Gothic Revival in art, architecture and design. These green and purple sets will be for use at the Sunday 8:00 a.m. Mass.

FATHER FRASER leaves on vacation July 6th, and returns July 27th. Please note that, while St. Michael’s will have weekday masses as often as possible during this time, there will be some interruptions. This week, we will have masses on Monday and Tuesday only. In the event of a pastoral emergency, please contact Deacon Stoddard until July 10th. From July 11th until Father Fraser’s return, please contact Canon Morgan.

THE CHURCH OFFICE will be closed tomorrow for the Independence Day holiday; the secretary will be in on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday this week. Office hours are 8:00 a.m. to noon.

LITTLE GLASS JARS are in both arches of the Narthex. The money donated in the jars will be used by members of the Society of Mary to purchase food for the Broadway Assistance Center.

EYC – Mini-Church Camp, scheduled for July 14th-17th, will be held at “Campground of the Rockies,” near Fairplay, CO, as in previous years.

Wednesdays in Summer (WISH) – All Junior and Senior High School Students are invited to meet on Wednesdays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for fellowship, prayer, with an activity, throughout the summer. CHILDREN’S SUMMER MUSIC CAMP: Preschoolers’ Day will be July 30, from 10-2. Junior Choir Camp, ages 7 and up: August 13th, 10-4, followed by Evensong. Contact Nancy King for further details, at 720-273-9531 or

FOOD COLLECTION SUNDAY is July 17th. Our food collection item this month is cold cereal, at $3.00 per box. Thank you, everyone, for your generosity

INTINCTION is administered on the pulpit side of the Altar Rail, where the chalice is always administered by the ordained clergy. Please be sure to receive on this side if you receive by intinction.
