Announcements for April 3, 2016

CONGRATULATIONS TO Michael, Elizabeth, and Katherine Loiseau, and Andrea and Alison Greene, who are making their First Communion today at the 10 a.m. Mass.

THE SOCIETY OF MARY BAKE SALE will be today and April 10th in the parish hall after each mass. The profits will go toward expenses incurred when St. Michael’s hosts the national Annual Meeting of the Society of Mary.

SOCIETY OF MARY meets on Saturday for Rosary at 9:30 a.m., with meeting following at 10:00 a.m.

ST. CLARE’S GUILD meets April 2nd and April 16th at 9:30 a.m.

LITTLE GLASS JARS are in both arches of the Narthex. The money donated in the jars will be used by members of the Society of Mary to purchase food for the Broadway Assistance Center. Thank you to all of the generous people who donate money in these jars! The Society of Mary was able to purchase 70 cans of chicken to take with us to the Broadway Assistance Center last Wednesday; a record number of 92 families were served. Your continued support is most appreciated!

AN EVENSONG NOT TO BE MISSED: April 9th, 7:00 p.m., at Epiphany Church, 1st Avenue and Colorado Blvd. Evensong will be sung by the St. Michael’s and Epiphany RSCM choristers and the St. Michael’s Parish Choir. The Setting is Evensong Service in E by William Gatens.

PENTECOST BRUNCH AND GIVEAWAY MAY 15th. Tickets go on sale May 1st. More details will be coming soon. A Grand Prize will be awarded!

NATIONAL MEETING: St. Michael and All Angels’ Church has the honor and pleasure of hosting the National Meeting of the Society of Mary on Saturday, April 30. Though our Mary, Queen of the Angels Ward will be sponsoring the event, our entire parish is welcome and encouraged to participate in the Mass, luncheon, and meeting. RAISE THE ROOF PRODUCTIONS is looking for volunteers for the play “Incorruptible” by Michael Hollinger. The play is set in a medieval monastery in the Dark Ages. INTINCTION is administered on the pulpit side of the Altar Rail, where the chalice is always administered by the ordained clergy. Please be sure to receive on this side if you receive by intinction. Intinction will be administered using the entire altar rail for the time being, at 8:00 a.m. only. This is due to there being only one priest to administer the sacrament at 8:00 a.m. 10:00 a.m. will remain as before.
