Announcements for March 13, 2016

THE WATCH AT THE ALTAR OF REPOSE will be from 7:00 p.m. Maundy Thursday, to 11:30 a.m. on Good Friday Please sign up at the back of the church. Those who sign up are committing themselves to one hour of prayer in front of the Blessed Sacrament at the Altar of Repose, beginning Thursday night at the end of the Maundy Thursday Liturgy and continuing throughout the night into the morning hours of Good Friday until the Good Friday Liturgy. The watch period ends at 11:30 a.m., just prior to Morning Prayer in the Nave of the Church on Good Friday morning.

THE SACRAMENT OF RECONCILIATION (Confession) will be offered in the Chapel from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. this Saturday.

ST. TERESA OF AVILA WARD of the CBS will meet March 17th at 6:30 p.m. for a Soup Supper, meeting, Litany and Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament. All are welcome. Please sign up in the narthex.

ST. CLARE’S GUILD WILL MEET Saturday at 9:30 a.m.

FOOD COLLECTION SUNDAY for the BAC is March 20; the item is Pasta, at $1.00 per package.

BROADWAY ASSISTANCE CENTER: The Society of Mary sponsors an evening of helping at the BAC when there is a fifth Wednesday in the month. Our next volunteer opportunity is March 30, 4:45 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. We need at least 11 volunteers. Please sign up in the Narthex for all or part of the time.

THE LAST LENTEN POT LUCK Supper, Stations and Benediction is this Friday, at 6:30 p.m.

NATIONAL MEETING: St. Michael and All Angels’ Church has the honor and pleasure of hosting the National Meeting of the Society of Mary on Saturday, April 30. Though our Mary, Queen of the Angels Ward will be sponsoring the event, our entire parish is welcome and encouraged to participate in the Mass, luncheon, and meeting. RAISE THE ROOF PRODUCTIONS is looking for volunteers for the play “Incorruptible” by Michael Hollinger. The play is set in a medieval monastery and it promises to be rollicking good fun. Pick your area of expertise to share your time, talents, and energy, and sign up in the narthex to help “Raise the Roof”!
INTINCTION is administered on the pulpit side of the Altar Rail, where the chalice is always administered by the ordained clergy. Please be sure to receive on this side if you receive by intinction. Intinction will be administered using the entire altar rail for the time being, at 8:00 a.m. only. This is due to there being only one priest to administer the sacrament at 8:00 a.m. 10:00 a.m. will remain as before.
