Announcements for February 21, 2016

TODAY we formally induct our Vestry for 2016. We ask that you please keep them in your prayers, especially our new class, Mark Moore, Susan Howe, and Ken Mason.

SIGN UP in the Narthex for attending the Thursday Morning Mass and Lenten Breakfasts. There is also a signup sheet for making breakfast. There is only one slot open, March 17. If it isn’t filled by March 1st, we will revert to the regular Thursday schedule.

THIS FRIDAY’S LENTEN DINNER at 6:30 pm will be sponsored by the St. Teresa of Avila Ward of the Confraternity of the Blessed Sacrament.

NATIONAL MEETING: St. Michael and All Angels’ Church has the honor and pleasure of hosting the National Meeting of the Society of Mary on Saturday, April 30. Though our Mary, Queen of the Angels Ward will be sponsoring the event, our entire parish is welcome and encouraged to participate in the Mass, luncheon and meeting. Your time and talent are also needed. Volunteers should contact our Ward Secretary, Russell Kliegel, cell phone, (303) 246-6197, or email, russell.kliegel@gmail.com. In addition, we are asking for contributions to help with the expenses of the meeting. There is a container in the narthex in which to add your donations. Please save the date and plan to attend as we want to show our guests St. Michael’s hospitality! Thank you.

EYC – On the Move – Meets Wednesday nights, 7:00-8:30 pm, with combined Youth Groups from Church of the Epiphany and St. Gabriel Church.) Please call Gary Stoddard (303-761-7179). Location of meeting rotates from week to week.

FOOD COLLECTION DAY for donations to the Pastoral Center for the month is today. The food item for the month is Canned Fruit at $1.50/can.

RTR PRODUCTIONS is looking for volunteers for “Incorruptible” by Michael Hollinger. A sign-up sheet is at the back of the church.

RUMMAGE SALE WEEK will be the week of April 10th.

SHREDDING DAY will be Saturday, May 21st. Save your papers, and tell your neighbors and friends.

THE BROADWAY ASSISTANCE CENTER is in need of toiletries for their clients. Please leave your donations in the designated container in the reception area. Thank you for your generosity.

INTINCTION is administered on the pulpit side of the Altar Rail, where the chalice is always administered by the ordained clergy. Please be sure to receive on this side if you receive by intinction. Intinction will be administered using the entire altar rail for the time being, at 8:00 am only. This is due to there being only one priest to administer the sacrament at 8:00 am. 10:00 am will remain as before.
